New approach to lion hunting
Our older readers may recall Ed Zern, who wrote the "Exit Laughing" column 1958-1975 in Field and Stream.
He offered the following:
In applying this method, the hunter equips himself with a fine mesh sieve and ---having arrived at the edge of the desert--proceeds to sift the desert sand through the sieve. Since the lions are too large to pass through the mesh of the sieve, this method cannot fail to produce
satisfactory results.

One just might snag the odd bustard as well, although that is more likely to occur when bating wombat traps.
