infinitoBenefit from a low dollar......
"The ones death is anothers bread" I believe is the saying. The dollar is not performing well at the moment, but it is nothing compared to how the Rand is sliding against the $.
We have decided to give AR members the benefit of capitilizing on this situation, by offering a packaged hunt that have been put together because of this:
The hunt looks as follow:
1x Kudu Bull
1x Waterbuck Bull
1x Blue Wildbeest Bull
1x Red Hartbebeest bull
1x Zebra
1x Impala Ram
Total Trophy fees- $4400.00
Day rates- $300.00 1x1, $250.00 2x1
Observers - $150.00
Min. 7 days.
Hunting area is a new addition to our extensive list, and has not been hunted for 12 years. Trophy quality is VERY good.
Accommodation is very basic, and not as "posh" as MOST South African lodges. There is hot water though, and clean bedding. The place has got a stunning view with over 15 acres of lakes and very good fishing!
Other animals like bushpig, Nyala, and Mountain Reedbuck are available to hunt.
Hunting terrain is about 10000 acres big, broken hilly, and 2 hours drive from OR Tambo international airport.
Included in day rate:
Pick up and drop off from airport
Import and export of rifle organised
Three meals per day
All soft drinks, bottled water, local beer and wine within reason
Laundery services
Delivery of trophies to taxidermy
Taxes (VAT)
Services of two PH's, skinners, trackers and camp staff.
Hunting vehicle and all equipment
Privacy garuanteed
Excluded:
Airfare
Alcahol (other than specified, will be available in camp at local bar prices)
Trophy fees (package specified above)
Any taxidermy fees
I hope this sounds like a good deal to you, as it does to me. We are able to chop and change on this package to suite your specific needs.
AR members available as ref. on request.
We look forward to hear from you!

PM me or e-mail to info@infinito-safaris.com
Only available while the exchange rate hangs where it is at the moment, so limited time frame...

AR members can save USD 2140 on this deal compared to infinito's normal prices. Nice!
I just don't see where this comes in:
"The ones death is anothers bread" because infinito on normal prices would have got USD 8640 @ $/R6 = R 51 840 and on the USD 6500 @ $/R8 = R 52 000! $/R8 roughly the current exchange rate.
No death causing loss involved here, but a fine gesture to pass the exchange rate gain onto foreign hunters!

infinitoHi springtrap, I was out hunting and training hunting guides, just saw your post now.
Please let me clarify. SA economy is "dying" and Infinito earns more "bread" because of the rand sliding, and we are in a postition because of this, to offer BETTER hunts in $'s, while earning the same in rands....OR MORE....!
Thanks for taking the time to browse through our web-site, and making the calculations.....
Now, we hope to hear back from that person that sounded REALY interested to book.....!!!???

Should have read: 'Benefit from a weak rand against the US$.'
A US$ is a US$, it only differs in value once it is exchanged for any other currency, either + or - depending on other currencies' value compared to the US$ value.

SA economy is "dying"
Why?
Because of world's largest economy's struggle to survive a recession - keep an eye on the Fed's next move re their interest rate next week and you will realize what is going on.
Being an emerging economy we always get splashed, whether we deserve it or not!
Not that we don't have problems of our own as well.

Charl,
Although it is not my habbit to praise my competitors, in this case I feel compelled to make some positive comment. You most certainly did what you set out to do: Offer a hunt at very good $ cost!
I have a spreadsheet that is populated with the web prices of 117 Hunting Outfitters that offer plains game hunting in South Africa. Naturally there are some very high and some very low prices. It is quite madness to compare your prices with the lowest published! Why? Some of the lowest are "drawcards" to get hunters to book, and they then see none of the very low cost animals - only get shots at higher than average priced species! An old sham! There may also be true "typing errors" listed as the lowest prices.
If you want to make a normal price comparison one should compare your offer to the median - IMHO the 'best' measure of central tendency for values like trophy animal prices. However you made a special offer that should not be judged against the median. It does make sense to compare your special offer to the so-called 25% Quartile: I.e. that statistically calculated value such that exactly 25 % of all the listed prices are lower than this value. Naturally 75% of the prices are above this value!
How does your offer compare? Very well indeed! The total trophy cost at 25% quartile prices is $ 5085 whereas you only charge $ 4400.
To interested hunters out there: If a reputable outfit like Infinito offers at almost 20 % below the 25% Quartile [$4400 vs Q25%=$5085], it is really a terrific offer! I advise to seriously consider going for it!
In good hunting.
