You read my mind also...The guy talks about the challenge, the temp, the long tracking...He carried more crap then the ph, 2 trackers, & the other guy carrying the ph's rifle...I think he even had more weight then the camera man....

Maybe he just wants to be prepared incase he pisses off the PH and trackers and they leave him to fend for himself.

I'll be hunting Lord Derby in January and believe me I'll only be taking rifle, ammo, binos, a small pocket knife/multi tool, pocket camera and my own TP when I leave the vehicle. Anything else is not necessary.

I saw how much stuff he was packing and just wondered if it wasn't a bunch of stuff for the camera and mic's? Seems awfully silly if it was just his own personal gear.

Mike,

We'll be with Faro West in Cameroon. This is the first experience for Sadie and I in West Africa which makes it even more exciting. Pierre has amazingly been 100% on these magnicficent antelope for several years now. I hope I don't blow the stats. I'm also really looking forward to chasing the western buffalo and other unique game there on the savannah.

Well Mark since you are going with Pierre you are REALLY in for a treat!! Pierre is a very good friend of mine and has a fantastic operation.

In January it will not be that hot. It took my Derby in March and it was 117-120 every day.
