Charara for buffalo?
What do you think about the Charara safari area in Zimbabwe for a buffalo hunt (in 2009)?

When compared to Chewore North and the Deka area which one of the three areas would you prefer for buffalo and why?

What would be the best time for a buffalo hunt in the Charara area and what additional plainsgame is available there with good trophy quality?

Thanks for your input.

Andy

In August I hunted in Charara for buff only. My cousin got easily his buffalo the very first morning, I struggled during 6 days to get mine. We saw very nice Kudu and Sable. Impalas are present. 2008 Jagd

Lots of buffalo. Lots of good elephant. A bit hilly in places, so be in shape because some of those buff climb like mountain goats! But a good area for buff.

IMO, late August early September when the leaves should be of the trees offering better visibility, the water is reduced to specific points by then and the temperature is about as comfortable as it gets.
