NakihunterMy visual estimate is that the python is about 14' to 15' long. It is based on the assumption from the second picture - the first guy holding the head has the body at about 2' on his neck.
I have seen the Indian reticulated python up to 22 feet long. The Burmese python which is also found in North East India can go over 25 feet. These huge snakes are more than twice the thickness of the photo here.

Are my eyes failing me or does the caption say it's a 14 inch python?

jdollaruntil about 6 years ago, my wife and i had a Burmese female python that was 18 feet and over 100 lbs. and an albino male that was 15 feet and 75 lbs. both were raised by us from 3 ft. babies and were tame and easily handled. finally got to be too much trouble to clean their custom built cages. both were definitely bigger than this one.
