FRANKIE2000UNIQUE TROPHIES
I THINK THAT IT WOULD BE VERY INTERESTING TO SEE SOME OF THE MOST UNIQUE AND UNUSUAL TROPHIES THAT HAVE BEEN TAKEN BY SOME OF THE AR MEMBERS. IM NOT TALKING ABOUT THE BIGGEST NECESSARILY BUT I AM TALKING ABOUT THE ONES WITH THE MOST CHARACTER TO THEM.

FRANKIE2000ANYBODY?
This fine old gentleman reeked with character. He also had some of the longest reddish hairs on his back with a little grey on top. We did scrub him up and comb him a little before the photo. Notice how clean the snout is. Is this what you are hinting at?

Anybody who claims I have longish red hairs on my back is a bald-faced liar. I admit to being prematurely grey however, probably related to marrying a French woman.

<Hunter Formerly Known As Texas Hunter>While many don't find the hyena to be a trophy animal (my esteemed hunting buddy accused me of hunting trash game) it remains one of my favorite. He/She? tipped the scales at 198.6 lbs. Nice long hair (for a hyena, I hunted it at night with a warthog I shot for bait. It was a great hunt with many great memories. It's my "poor man's leopard".

David CulpepperMaybe not the most unique, but I like my kilpspringer. I call him my little devil antelope becuase of the way his horns curve in a bit.

Wendell ReichMy client Mike and I were huting the Gras ranch in 2001. Errol told us about a Hartebeest with a messed up horn. Mike jokingly said he wanted it (The Gras is 145 sq miles)
Guess what we found the next morning?

FRANKIE2000That is a very cool warthog Wink I don't think that I have ever seen one with hair like that. I would love to take a hyena from, what I know about them it seem like it would be a tough hunt. I really dig all the little guys that you don't see everyday. Doyle that is an awesome impala I would take him over a 26 incher any day. Wendell very nice hartebeest again a very nice trophy to put on the wall.

FRANKIE2000I hope that you made a belt or something out of that mammba. That would be a nice conversation piece.

butchloci guess my most unique would be either my lifesize lion battling hyena mount or maybe one that has a honey badger under a tree while a genet cat is trying to catch a lilac breasted roller, or maybe the rock with a klippy on top and a busbuck napping on the bottom. don't know what you're looking for exactally, but i still haven't learned enuf about coompooters to do the picture thing. Its on my new years revolution list though

LRH270It was a difficult stalk but at least the wind was right.
At the end we had to close by coasting the Toyota in neutral the last five yards.
Bubba steadied his .300 Weatherby and let 180 grains of Remington Core-Lock fly.
Again, at this extreme range (about 15 yards) his aim was true.

infinitoI know this is not African game, but unique it is. The pictures are of a Chinese Waterdeer, shot during a recent marketing trip & holiday in the U.K.
Note the unusual teeth of this trophy buck.

infinitoThanks Fallow Buck.
I was very fortunate. The hunt was purchased at the SCI auction in London, and a friend of mine organised it. I was very surprised to hear from the guide that trophy hunters pay up to a whopping £1200.00 for a top "Chinkie"!!!!
I was supposed to shoot only one, but the guide said that as he had to cull a couple of bucks, I could shoot 2 more! What a man. (he's got 2 impala on the house waiting for him in SA now

The rifle was a Tika .243Win, with 100gr. Swifts. All shots was at aboout 150-200m. Great fun!!
I send you a PM as well.
Cheers
