graybirdGeneral cost of a US to Africa plane ticket?
What is the general cost of a trans Atlantic plan ticket to Africa? Is it like here in the States where there is a peak time; therefore, higher prices during those times? Also, is it cheaper to fly into some countries compared to others? What do you generally consider acceptable prices for tickets?
Thanks in advance for the info!

LHowellGraybird,
Go to
Gracy TravelThey have all the prices and add on in their site.
also the seasonal variations.
Most of the specialist Africa travel agents use the same pricing structure + or - a little bit.

Atkinsonpeak time is our summer, and that is during the African hunting season...tickets usually run about $1300 to RSA, and $1700 to Tanzania, but trying to guess airline tickets has never been very accurate with me..Kinda like reading my wifes mind, it cannot be done!

douglastYou had better set aside about $2000-$2200 for a round trip ticket to SA during peak season. You might be able to get something a bit cheaper but it won't be by much. Peak times are during our summer (Jun-Sep) as well as some weeks in December.
