dogcatBuying Swarovski optics in Germany or Austria
Are Swarovski products cheaper when bought in Germany or Austria?
Or just go to DSC and hammer away at the vendors?

SFRanger7GPCheaper here. I am in Germany regularly for work and some of my German coworkers are shooters and hunters. They often ask me to bring them things from the US.

talentrecIf you want really good deals on European Glass in Europe, go to Andorra. There are a couple of good hunting stores there, and the pricing is very good with no tax. It's also a great place to buy liquor!
We stopped there when we were hunting in France and I remember the prices on Swarovski scopes and binoculars being less than what we pay in the US.

Possibly due to most goods being manufactured in China but Trump will soon put a stop to that.

It's anywhere from third to damn near twice more over there
Someone has to pay for all their social ideas
It's a strange world across Atlantic

If you do not reside in VAT regulated Europe you are entitled to a refund on exit - there is an office which caters for these claims at the airport.

Too bloody right it is.
If I order anything from overseas they take the stated value of the item(s) plus the cost of the shipping AND the cost of the packaging then add their import tax & then add 23% vat/iva to that total.
The taxes are sometimes more than the price you paid for the item itself.

mominerI was in Berlin and Munich the last two weeks. Went to a hunting store in Munich. Noticed that all the Euro Optics were about 10% more than a good optics online store. Then after taxes and duty...a lot more.
