To all of my African hunting friends in Texas. I sure hope you and your families were spared from the path of destruction.
Called a close friend and family survived in Granbury. The tornado hit on either side of his place. Wind damage and debris.
To those who lost everything words are never enough.

We seldom get to choose
But I've seen them go both ways
And I would rather go out in a blaze of glory
Than to slowly rot away!
Mike we had no damage other than a few branches, and some lawn furniture tossed around. There was damage all around us, and this is the third one in three years that has come within two miles of my home, but the 16 tornados last year one came within 100 yds of my house and destroyed 100 homes across the road from my house. We dodged it by about five miles this time! The folks in Grandbury, Pecan Plantation, and Cleburne, didn't fare so well, however.
Thanks for the concern!

I remember a sign painted on a pc. of plywood the morning after the terrible tornado in Withita Falls. TX many years ago. It read:"
I will give you 10 mins. to get your house off my house!" Both lots were nearly wiped clean.
Humor among the tragedy.
Better tomorrows to those that lost their home and condolences to the families that lost someone. One of the tornadoes was an F4 in strength.
You can borrow money but you can not borrow time. Go hunting with your family.

Wendell ReichWe were spared, North of Dallas. Lots of warnings, but it sort of died out before it hit us.
Hope no other AR members were hit.

K EvansMike:No damage at our place, storm went just to the south. It did quite a bit of damage in Ennis (about 6 miles southeast of us), downtown buildings destroyed and so forth but no injuries that I have heard of. Pity the folks around Grandbury though...they got hit hard.

All good in our neck of the woods. One 30 miles to the west in Nocona. Was at DSC meeting last night and heard of no direct hits of club members there.
I have lived in tornado alley all my life...tornadoes are just a part of life this time of the year here. Those folks killed Granbury were the first tornado deaths in all of Texas in 6 years. God rest their soles.
