mark65x55Thanks Terry. I guess I should add I've got Buzzs DVD, I've watched it about 4 times now and I'm reading Boddinggtons "Buffalo". Anyone read "Ndlovu- The art of hunting the african elephant"?

MJinesNdlovu is a very good book. Well written and very informative. I thoroughly enjoyed it and Nyati. Both books really cover the subject matter well, calibers, countries, biology, shot placement, etc. Expensive, but a good read.

bulldog563I have read both Ndlovu and Nyati and they are very good as instructional books.
If you want a few others which are more autobiographical;
C.H Stigand "Hunting the Elephant in Africa"
William Finaughty "The Recollections of William Finaughty: Elephant Hunter 1864-1875"
James Sutherland "The Adventures of an Elephant Hunter"
John F. Burger "Horned Death"
Any of WDM Bell's books
Also a second vote for Mahohboh by Ron Thompson. Very interesting book about hunting Elephant as well as their current situation.
