JJ_MillerMy A$$ Saved Again !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Three days before I leave for 14 days in Kigosi I am Firing my final shots and the Zeiss VM/V 2.5x10 scope on my Ruger 30.06 won't hold a zero. Oh Sh!t, now what.
Wendell recommends I take my 338 Win Mag I had used on a previous trip. I gave Wendell all the rifle info and he fixed it up with the folks in TZ,
I called Kathi Klimes and she cleared the Amsterdam forms and I am good to go.
Folks, this is why I use a travel agent and booking agent. Without them there is no way I could have cleared all the paperwork to change rifles 3 days before a hunt.
Wendell and Kathi are top shelf.............JJ

xgruntNow you really do owe him that $1200 bottle of scotch.
I'll join Wendalls fan club by telling you how he has gone above and beyond in helping me with my first Safari. Selous for buffalo on Sept. 3rd. He has been a pleasure to deal with.
Glad you got you gun issue solved and good luck on your hunt.

Brain1It's worth the money. They get paid to handle these kind of things, and they earn their money well.
You can borrow money, but you can't borrow time. Don't wait, go now.

JJ_MillerFjold, it was easier on me just load up 20 more rounds and be done with it. When I trade scopes now I have two rifles that will need re-zeroing at some point.
I found it easier just to leave all my other rifles alone and let Wendell and Kathi work their magic.
I'm shooting a Barnes Triple Shock, 225 gns, at 2780 fps. 2 inches high at 100m, dead on at 200m, and 5 1/2 inches low at 300m. My 300m group is 2.68 inch, this is why I didn't mind bringing this rifle.............JJ

KUDUBULLI would have to say that Wendell is pretty much at the top of the list.
Now if he can just get those damn mule deer to grow in the Panhandle, I can go hunt up there........Hint to Wendell!

GatogordoI'd hold a bit higher at 300m if I were you. Good luck.

When considering US based operations of guides/outfitters, check and see if they are NRA members. If not, why support someone who doesn't support us? Consider spending your money elsewhere.
NEVER, EVER book a hunt with BLAIR WORLDWIDE HUNTING or JEFF BLAIR.
I have come to understand that in hunting, the goal is not the goal but the process.

JJ_MillerGatogordo, I shot them all on the same target, I just re-measured and you may be right, it could be 6 inches low at 300m, in any event I feel ready...............JJ

JJ, what are you going to hunt?
I hunt, not to kill, but in order not to have played golf....
