mboga biga bwanaBotswana will close Leopard hunting
From the Hunting Report:
The other big development this week is the closure of leopard in Botswana effective with the 2009 season. The closure does not affect 2008 safaris. We are still digging on this story, seeking to find out why the closure has been enacted. More details as they become available.
After closeing Lion hunting few months ago another bad news from this grat Safari Country.

Michael RobinsonBotswana's government is apparently using an incremental approach to the banning of hunting altogether.
Most believe that heir apparent to the presidency Khama has that on his agenda. With these inroads now being made - no lion, no leopard - a total ban later will seem less radical.
What a shame.
