Do we need to support them?
There is a local chain of hiking, camping, outdoor clothing and gear shops over here called Cape Union Mart.

Overseas hunters quite often pop in and buy bits from these shops, but methinks everyone should have the wherewithal to make informed decisions about where they spend there hard earned cash.
Herewith an excerpt from an email written by Georgina Cartwright, their national marketing co-ordinator, " While I can understand that your organization exercises ethical and professional hunting, I, unfortunately, am not willing to create an association between Cape Union Mart and your organization. Hunting is a sensitive subject for most of our employees and customers and I simply cannot risk the potential negative exposure."

There, you are now in a position to make an informed decision. Wink

Do they sell hunting gear at all? If not, I would say leave them alone. They are the result of urbanization and the granola crowd.

If they sell anything to hunters boycot them. It may be boots, shirts, hats etc.

I try to avoid them.
In first place they are a bit overpriced. I find everything they have is cheaper at Trappers Trading. Where I usually take my clients if they want to buy extra clothes and so on. I dont know what their feeling is about hunting but they have never given me a strange look or stair even if they knew we are hunters in the shop.

Other place I go to to take clients is L&W (Live and work) also in the same complex in Pretoria.

I however like to browse in Cape Union Mart check the price and buy the same thing cheaper at Trappers. fishing clap

I always try to use enough gun but then sometimes a brainshot works just as good.

Hell no we - you - nobody should support them... We have this same problem here in the states with Wal-Mart - they have ceased selling guns at many of their locations, because - guns are dangerous...It wouldn't be repsonsible of them to sell weapons of destruction.
Same same the world over it is all a croc of shit...
