MinkmanWhat they tell tourist's in case of an attack
Found this on the ZIM Observer site archives
"Incidentally, when it comes to buffalo, you're supposed to lie down as they have poor eyesight and, ideally, will mistake you for a log. If a croc or hippo attacks, stay with the boat at all costs. Never rush an elephant. Stay still and outstare leopards."
Any comments?
Thanks
Minkman
Comments:
Don't try that leaopard trick on a silverback gorilla.
If I were trying to a stare a leopard down, I would have to add a big grin, like Davy Crockett did to bears.
Stay with the boat "at all costs" in a hippo or croc attack. Sounds good, just like not to "rush" an elephant. Pretty elementary, but sound advice.
Lying down in front of an attacking cape buffalo sounds like a good TV episode for the Jack Ass boys, but only if they wear Kevlar armor, full body.
Thanks for this food for thought.

Here is another. My personal advice. All by me, it is mine. I wrote it .... (I won't do the whole Monty Python credits)
"If you are attacked by a lion, play dead. Only some lions, certainly not 100%, eat carrion."
