Saw my first up close ivory from my visit to a local taxidermist..He said, " Mike stick around I want to show you something..." He opened the crate and I saw fresh Botswana ivory about 5.5 feet and a little more long..Before he told me I took a guess at weight...55lbs....they were 65 and 64
They were going to be mounted on the front feet for a doorway...
I left smiling and dreaming...

A set of Ivory is pretty impressive no matter how many you have seen. The first time is magical though. Kind of like the first time you see your first bull Ele in the wild. Great experience.

Ivory also has this magical attraction that makes you have to reach out and touch it.
