I think I'm less computer literate than Ray, and really need someones help. When I'm viewing web pages, everything on my monitor appears way oversized by about 25 percent, or more. How can I change the appearance? Confused

Mike,

Not sure what browser your using. If netscape (Mozilla) you might try hitting checking the view-> text zoom menu.

If using explorer do the same thing.

From the desktop, right click, go to properties, then settings and change the resolution setting to the next size down.

That might help.

Don, please explain to me what you mean by "From the desktop". I'm getting my butt kicked. Mad

Mike,

Put your pointer on any vacant area of your desktop. Rightclick. At the bottom of the dropdown box, click on Properties. The Display Properties box will open. Left click the Settings tab. About left-center of this box is the screen resolution slider. Put your pointer on it and move it while holding down the left mouse button. Or just left click somewhere along the horizontal slider line. It will slide right and left changing the screen resolution numbers. 800x600 might be a good place to start. You might need to reboot for the change to actually work. Good luck!

Mike,

This might be something as simple as resetting your text size if you are using Explorer. Sometimes Web sites hijack your setting and scale it larger. On the top of tf the Menu bar go to View.....scroll down to Text Size.....change the size there from Smallest to Largest. Once you change that setting and exit out of Explorer, next time back it will retain that text size setting. Hope that helps with your problem.
Good luck
Paul
