Fred GordonA Lion kill where you are the bait...
Good day all,
With all of the discussions taking place in regards to Cecil, I thought it may be enjoyable for a break from the politics of hunting and instead think for a short time about the Wilderness, the ruggedness and unpredictability available in Africa, and of a well told lion kill (IMHO).
It is actually in the "Knife and Knife Making Forum" as posted by Bvekenya. I would post a link but am somewhat challenged in that area. The post is titled:
"My take on a Iconic knife"
Kindest regards, Fred

Russ GouldI saw the belt and the knife, with the lion skin, hanging on display in Kruger Park when I was a child. You could see the stab wounds in the skin. It left an impression on me for sure.

shakariAs a useless piece of information, Harry's Grandson (or possibly Great Grandson?) Kim Wolhuter is an immensely talented wildlife cameraman (and also a very nice guy) who makes documentaries for Nat Geo etc....... he made the one about 'Half-tail the leopard and is currently filming hyenas.
He also has or at least had the use of Harry's old camp in the private part of the KNP.
