Stay in Bulawayo
I have flown into and out of Bulawayo a few times over the years but never overnighted there. In August I will be in Bulawayo a few days early awaiting a friend who arrives later.
Would like some suggestions on the best place to stay and a few things to do with two days in Bulawayo. I have already visited the Courtney store so that box is checked. I will have a vehicle as well.

Go and visit Trophy Consultants International (TCI) I'm sure they would be happy to show you round.

With kind regards

Tim,

Nesbitt Castle is without question a very interesting place to overnight in Bulawayo. Very private rooms, nice food and beautiful grounds.

You might want to stay at the Bulawayo Club. It is being remodeled but should be about finished by now.

If you don't stay there you definitely want to go in and look at it.

Hook up with Mark Young, he may be able to find an opening in Terry Anders schedule. He has a nice 10,000 plus farm to hunt right outside of bulawayo.

Thanks Mark and Alisa.
I checked out the websites for both of these properties. These are the type of accommodations I am interested in. Both look great!. Beats the crap out of the Holiday I was considering.
Thank you!

Mark is spot on. You will not be disappointed with Nesbitt Castle. They also have some great mounts in their bar area!!

If you could stay at Club Bulawayo that's where I'd stay. That place is beautiful and great food. Wish I would have taken photos of myself while there. Really neat place. Lots of history there.

Sounds like there's a story behind this one?

No story. It's just that Lance's Restaurant has some of the best chicken in Zimbabwe! That's what it's noted for! tu2

If you have time go to Collett's Wildlife Artistry. They are glad to show you around. They do very good Taxidermy work.

Stayed at Nesbitt Castle last October. Very cool, spoke at length with Patrick the manager who will give you a thorough history of the site and future plans. They only have about eight rooms but most of the revenue is generated from weddings that they have on the very expansive grounds. Great food and quite reasonable with a great veranda for a cigar after dinner. Definitely unique, you can check it out on their website.

I spent 2 nights at Bul Club in Sept. very cool place but the rooms were pretty poor (hot and lots of bugs). It is currently closed, but I talked to someone there last week, and they said they hoped to be opened back up soon.

Visit Taxidermy Enterprises, 15 Falcon Street.

Nice folks, usually very eager to give you a quick tour.

Seeing all the trophies in various stages of completion is very educational and will get you very pumped up about your upcoming hunt.
