Very simple and very effective, but two mechanical changes and one procedural one will make it close to perfect. The angle should be steeper so that the target moves faster. If the line had more slack and the target were set swinging and bouncing, that would more nearly simulate a charging buff.

Me, I'm going to make up something like this as soon as I can. What a great idea!
