What is the status of camouflage in Namibia? From what I can tell, its ok to hunt in, but should not be worn in the cities, etc?

L. David KeithFergus, I'm not sure about Namibia. It's OK in RSA but not Zimbabwe. Problem with camo however, it makes seeing "seed/pepper" Ticks near impossible. So if you wear it, use Permanone on your clothing and check yourself at night very carefully. I went from camo to OD green and Khaki. Makes seeing those bums easy but I spray all my hunting clothes and boots with Duranon Permanone. You don't want to catch tick fever or any of the other diseases they carry. Good hunting, David

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

cable68Unless things have changed in the last 2 yrs, it's okay in the field, but not in cities.

Fergus_BaileyGuys
Thanks for the answers so far. Just to clarify my question, I plan to use olive or dark tan clothing, but my cap and day pack are camo. I dont want to buy new stuff just for this trip so plan to use these camo items if its not illegal.
Was no problem last time I wore it there.
You can borrow money but you can not borrow time. Go hunting with your family.
I wore Realtree AP Brown long sleeve T shirts everywhere from the airport to in the field to Etosha to the airport again an no one said a word to me last August.

Any hunting camo no problem as long as it is nothing military issued.
What you have already sounds fine, as long as you have some sort of a break up pattern.
I have never had any problems popping into the village wearing my camo, would say wear normal stuff for Windhoek and the flight.
