I am saddened to tell you I have been informed of the drowning death of professional hunter Richard Ngubane. Richard worked for Mark and Glen Haldane (Game Hunters Africa, Zambezi Delta Safaris) in South Africa, Botswana and Mozambique. I met him while hunting buffalo in Mozambique. He was PH for my hunting partner and did an excellent job.

There are probably several who post here who had at least met Richard.

Great guy who will be missed by many.

Richard had worked with Mark & Glen for many years and was an accomplished PH. I never hunted with him but had met him and he always had a ready smile. He will be missed.

I hunted in Coutada 10 last year, and had fun with Richard in camp, trading barbs and verbal jousts. As those who knew him can attest, Richard was a cynical and arbitrary type, but dead serious about his hunting. He'd get you a trophy animal even if the effort killed you! I'll miss him.
