NitroXI'm just doing a quick post on the "African" forum as a lot of double rifle and other classic firearm shooters are here that might be interested. The main thread is on the "Big Bore" forum.

Big Game Rifle Club Shoot in the USA< !--color-->After a successful shoot at the 21st anniversary of the Melbourne BGRC in Australia, Ernie Stallman of Bagder Barrels Wisconson has persuaded the match committee at the Lodi range, Wisconson to allow him to put on a BGRC sanctioned match on October the 10th.
Events to be shot:
- Group 1
- Group 2
- Group 3
- Open black powder
- Double rifle
- Charging animal or Special snap
- Hunting class
- Novelty events
Rand McNally map references for the range will be posted on these threads later.
American contact for the match is Ernie Stallman C/ Badger Barrels ph 262-857-6950.
It is anticipated that certain celebrities might be participating in these shoots.
Stay tuned for more details as they are announced.

AtkinsonIt's too bad they set these shoots up during the time of the hunting seasons in the whole Pacific N.W., Maybe we should bring that to their attention..I would think they would fair better in late spring, as least from my perspective as thats when hunters and shooters are the most available???????????????????????????????????????????

- For each competitor, targets will be placed at 75yds, 50yds and 25yds.
- On command the competitor will fire 6 shots, in order, 2 shots at the 75yd target, 2 shots at the 50yd target and 2 shots at the 25yd target.
- Total time allowed is 35 seconds
In the event that the host range cannot accommodate targets set at the required three distances (25,50 & 75yds) then the Charging Animal may be replaced by the Special Snap event.
Special Snap - Any firearm meeting the requirements of Group 1 minimum.

Bore Guns & Rifles - Any bore gun or rifle with full rifling or patent rifling, as in Paradox (rifled choke), or semi-invisible rifling for ball and shot. Smoothbore ball-guns permitted provided they are specifically designed for ball and have sights fitted by the original maker.
- Minimum 16 bore.
- Must have makers fitted sights.
- May use black powder or nitro loads. Must be factory maximum or equivalent reloads.
- Shotguns using solid slugs, such as Brenneke slugs or similar modern developments are not permitted.
- Firearms of modern manufacture in keeping with the spirit of the event may be used provided approval of the firearm and load is gained from the National Discipline Chairman before the event.
