infinitoNew Yorkers to the rescue?!
If there are any New Yorkers out there that wants to do a good (very good deed) for a fellow hunter, then please see if you can find a way to assist me.
My travel agent f..ed up. I now have a 11 hour lay over in NY before my flight departs for SA. I could not find a hotel room for anything affordable at this late stage so either have to sit and wait it out, or spend a some time resting up at someones house, if possible.
Good news is the flight comes in at about 23:00 and I have to be back there at 08:00

Any case, just trying my luck. It is what it is. Any help will appreciated. Thuis bushman is a bit lost in your jungle sometimes.
Any case...Reno was a ball, more about that later..

404WJJefferyHmmmm.
You get in at 11 pm, assuming you are not late, it will take an hour or so to collect your bags and get out of the airport (but hopefully they will be checked thru). Your flight leaves at 8 am, so you will need to be at the airport at 5 am, figure a minimum of half an hour driving, and you will arrive at your potential host's place at 12:30 am and leave at 4:30 am, seems like a lot of to and fro for 4-4 1/2 hours away from the airport?
Plus you are sort of asking someone to give up a night's sleep in the middle of the work week - they have to be at the airport at midnight and back at 5 am...
I would just stay in the airport, if for no other reason than to avoid checking in again for an international flight.
It sucks, especially since all the lounges will be closed, as well as most or all of the restaurants, but it doesn't look like there is a better alternative.
You may regret it when you walk into the airport at 5 am on a weekday and see the massive check in and security lines....
