Eastern Bongo

Is there anyone tracking the Eastern (Kenyan) bongo? Do they have any idea how big the population is? Are they any different in size or color than their central and west african counterparts? Were these hunted as part of the classic safaris in the days old, or where they always more a of a specialized critter?

you don't have to be an expert to see that the sitation is very bad, all populations are way too small. Some of the populations listed above are already gone by now....
