D HunterRe: Which countries allow 9.3 for buff?
While I do not have chapter and verse, my understanding is that the 9.3x64 is the ballistic equal to the 375 H&H. As such it is legal in almost all the usual southern/eastern african safari destinations. The 9.3x62 is more limited. It seems there is one country that requires a 40 cal or larger for DG. Some one with more experience than I will have to give you the details. Good hunting. "D"

HenrikHello,
I'm in the process of building a 9.3x64 and I'm curious about which countries would allow this gun for use on big game.

500grainsI can only say with certainty that it is legal in Zimbabwe. I will leave answers for the rest of the countries to more knowledgeable persons.

AtkinsonIn reality, it is only Zimbabwe, and all but two provinces in RSA, however, no one cares and never have...We use them all the time in Tanzania, Botswana, RSA and Mozambique, mostly the ladies, younger boys, old men and a few village idiots and self

..This includes the 9.3x62, 9.3x74 and 9.3x64....

SunshineHi Henrik,
in South Africa only the province of KwaZulu Natal stipulates a .375. It is perfectly legal to use a 9,3 in Mpumalanga and in Limpopo provinces.

HenrikThank you for your replies gents,
hopefully the 9.3x64 will get a bigger brother (another ZG 47 in 404) but this will be sometimes down the road.
The reason for going with the 9.3x64 at this time is that it's a lot of power in areally neat package. I've been using guns in 9.3x62 for almost 20 years now and I wanted to try something else for this gun.
