JOHAN you are right the Bullet is a 14,5 KS Sorry.
However I will use the RWS 11,7 g KS (990m/s)
I will make a Best quality rifle in 8x68s with exibition grade English walnut and all the works.
Later this week I will try to push the Blaser CDP 12,7 g cartridge into the magazine.

Recknagel and blackburn makes bottom metal. I guess recknagel would be most happy do give you the specifications for their produckt.

I guess a magazine lenght of 88-90 milimeter or soo would be fine. I'm not sure what the CIP standard for the 8X68S is.

What other work to do? Check that everything is square, straight and good, open the bolt face, modify feeding rails etc.

Harald had 28 or 29 inch barrel on his 8x68S

I was planning to put a 27" barrel on my rifle to compensate for the lack of speed in the 8x68s cartridge

The CDP ammo is the most accurate factory ammunition I have ever seen. My friend uses it in cal 8x68s and the velocities that they state on the box are actually delivered. That is a first
I have read the articles from Harald Wolf, He also writes about the .500 Jeffery.
Do you know who makes a special bottom ? Recknagle ? How much longer is the box then, and what work does one have to do to the rest of the action?
