You remind me of a well known Professor who came hunting with us.
On the first morning of the hunt, very early around 5 am, still dark we all gathered around the fire for some warmth in the winter chill, drinking coffee before setting out into the bush, this guy emerges from his room dressed exactly how you are and father without thinking boomed out:
"PROFESSOR ! WHERE THE FUCK DO THINK YOU ARE GOING DRESSED LIKE THAT " Well this is my father and his gunbearer

Thank you very much.

At Reno, the book will also be for sale at the Trophy Room Books booth (#1353) and from me as I stroll around the convention with an arm full of books. I'll be in disguise as a fat, old man in short pants.
Well, don't he look literary in those knickerbockers, what?
I think those pants (are they "plus fours" or knickers?) look very sporty. Nice to see some tradition.
I look forward to reading your book.
Cheers!

I was expecting a broad brimmed bush hat with leopard skin band with sleeveless shirt and a mean and nasty but yet determined expression!
The delusions have been shattered (well only some of mine).
First time I have seen your book thread. I will be ordering some from you too. Suitably autographed with insightful comments I hope!
Will drop into the PO tommorrow.

30ott6Will- I have received your book. Thank you very much. I have only read the first chapter so far-very enlightening. Was particularly impressed with the explanation of the Penetration Index and how well the .416 performs.
Thanks again Will. Very informative and fun to read. I recommend it to everyone!!
PS. How long has John Taylor been your father?

Professor Stewart,
I returned from a week at the mines to find your opus in the pile of mail retrieved by my personal assistant. I got #61 of the first edition. I have perused it briefly, looks great, and it is next on the reading schedule.
Thank you very much for your wonderful service to humanity and wildlife conservation. The world is a better place from your endeavors.

WillSorry, but I will not be making it to Dallas. I can still sign books if you send a check my way!

Thanks for your interest.
P.S. I think I had a pair of lace-up chaps made by a shop in Cave Creek, but I forget the maker. Small world, eh?

JALWill,Bill?
I ordered thru the nice helpfull guy at the gunshop. He may have had a bit of trouble with my accent/mumble, but that's what happens when I have to get up in the middle of the morning re timezone differences.
And if you write something in the front, try to mention my .458WM

Cave Creek is a great little town, I just moved there and really like it. It has lots of character and great places to ride my Harley.

NickuduQuite a fine job Bill Stewart, from cover to cover. A one-sitting read for me is indeed a rarity. With so many bits of well phrased and poignant commentary, I gave up on noting them for this review!

A result to be proud of, my friend. My heartfelt congratulations. - Nick

Lhook7Will,
I received the book on Thursday then left for DSC Friday morning. I read the book while waiting in the airport and on my flights. I really enjoyed it, especially the elephant chapters, it answered a lot of questions I had about elephant hunting.
Congratulations on a great book!
