Sending Rifle to France
I would like to send a rifle to France to a young PH who I hunted with in CAR. Does anyone know how to do this? I don't know if I would have to send it to a dealer or not. I would be sending the rifle to his father who is a French citizen. Any help would be appreciated.

Wink
Will the rifle be imported into France by a traveller, or sent by air freight?

What country are you exporting the rifle from? If you are in the US you will need a State Dept export permit. Also, someone in France will need to arrange a import permit.

If you are exporting from the US, this site has some info/pricing for export service, have no experience with them but thought the info might be helpful-
http://www.davessports.com/Fee...le09152009_Other.pdf

Also a link to US Gov't requirements with info on one time export exemption and contact info for questions-

Hope that is of some help.
