R. GunnNeed lion harvest guideliens quickly
I am going to a lecture on African Lions on the Serengeti at the State Natural History Museum in Norman (OK) this evening. If it turns out to a whack job by a bunch of bunny huggers, I want to be able to ask intelligent questions (or as close as I can come to intelligent questions) I would like some one to give a quick update on what the criteria are. (LUKE EASTER ARE YOU OUT THERE?)

Richard T. CheathamDick - look at Gayne Young's thread entitled Give Me Some Lion Ammo. That may help or at least get you started. Lane and Fairgame have two very good comments.

R. GunnFaalse alarm. When I got there, I found the speaker was Craig Packer, the co-author of the lion aging publication, and his lecture was great. He was certainly hunting neutral if not pro-hunting and his lecture was filled with incredible tidbits such as lions are more likely to take a cow from a herd guarded by a child than an adult and lions are three times as likely to kill and eat a human being on the days after a full moon.
