Karl,

It's probably a Silvers pad and you should be able to either buy one off the shelf at your local gun shop or ask them to order it for you.

Alternatively, try this link or somewhere like Cabela's. http://www.new-kynoch.apt-sites.com/silvers.htm

shakari, I thought it is a Silvers as well, but the holes in the back seems different. I managed to get one at Danie Joubert in Pretoria, but when phoning the bigger gunships in SA that I thought would stock Silvers (they also stock Kynoch, and David Little from Kynoch's wife owns the Silvers company,) their sales people did not even know what it was. I need another 2 at least, as I want to re-pad my 9.3 and have another little project upcoming...

Karl,

Try calling Sabi Rifles in Nelspruit. - I have a vague idea they stock them.... If you come up to collect it, drop in for a beer or 3.

I will try GS custom bullets 110 grain here before going. If they work well in the accuracy department I`LL give them a go. I have had this rifle now for two years, and only shot approx 40-50 rounds so far with weatherbys 150grainers + some handloads. Factory ammo shoots sub 1" at 200 meters any day of the week. Eeker
Weatherbys ammo deliver what they promise. 3275 Ft/sec with 150 grain, That ain`t bad!!.
MY 140BT Nosler did 3360 Ft/sec with a recommended maxload. I did not get any good accuray from Noslers from standard "workupload" to maxload.
So factory ammo will be going if none of my upcomming handloads works out with GS bullets.
I must really state here. LILJA barrel is the best american barrel I have ever had. Kriegers is fine, Shilen is good but no barrel like this .270cal Lilja have I ever shot so accurate with.
The Jewel trigger is a magic touch. I like my recknagel triggers on my custom 98s, but Jewel will stand out from the crowd by a mile.
If I ever should have a customsporter built again the pre-64 action will be the foundation from where everything starts. Smiler
