I wanted to give you a heads up on a seminar at Dallas Safari Club Convention. I am serving as moderator of a African Professional Hunter panel discussion entitled " The African Professional Hunter - The Man Behind The License.
The professional hunters on the panel are Johan Calitz- Botswana, Harpreet Brar - Tanzania, Andrew Dawson - Zimbabwe, Hans Vermaak - South Africa, Mark Haldane - Mozambique, and Dirk DeBod - Namibia. A great line-up of seasoned pro's !
It will be a one hour seminar covering a wide range of topics of interest, with a 15 minute question and answer from the audience at the end. We will do the seminar twice, on Friday from 2-3 PM and again on Saturday from 12:30 to 1:30 PM
I would love to see some of the AR family attend as Africa is such a big part of the convention and something we all love. It will be informative and I plan on it being fun. Sure hope you will plan to be there for it !

It is true that I do not have a Zambia PH on the panel, but no snub intended I promise. The content is not going to be country specific at all, but more situational in nature. I picked guys I know well and knew would help me out with the program on short notice.I will be asking each PH various leading questions that I believe will be of interest to the seminar attendees. The topics will be wide ranging in scope, more of a chance to "get into the head of a PH", than a "where to hunt" format. Right off the bat I worried about some very good friends and well qualified PH buddies feeling left out , but a six man panel was the right number and it is a pretty darned good line-up of talent I think.

Sounds like an interesting hour of time. Robin and I will be there.
