LionHunterWell done, Will, nice Bongo!
Did you happen to use any anti-fog wipes on the clear lenses? These do help, and eye protection is a must have for me, but it does depend on how thick the forest is where you are hunting.
Glad to hear your comments on the CAMELBACk. We always wear ours anytime we leave the truck.
Looking forward to your full report!

For me, the Lord Derby is the better hunt. You kill a giant eland with your feet and lots of good tracking before you and the PH move into the final position to examine the herd, find a suitable bull, and kill him. At the same time, while the quarry is unique, the hunt is very similar to other parts of the continent where you hunt on foot and track.
The bongo is a wonderful experience and is totally different than any other hunt on the continent. I like to say that it was a adventure to one of the wildest places on earth with a side of hunting. As you likely know, once the bongo it bayed, the hunter is little more than its executioner. Good, bad or indifferent, that's the game and the way the game has been played for decades in that part of Africa.
To summarize, I will hunt another LDE. I will not hunt another bongo with dogs. One bongo and one trip to the forest will be enough for me.
