Safaris advice/suggestions

Hey guys, I have a couple that want to experience a 7 day safaris on a very tight budget. Mid to mid July to early August time frame. Basic plains game species, 6-8 animals. Rifle hire needed. They may want to bring a bow. Animals sought, Kudu, Gemsbok, Impala, Springbok, Warthog, a small guy (steenbok or duiker), Zebra, baboon and another target of opportunity. Good solid trophies and overall quality hunt... Any suggestions? Budget $5-6K all in... Thanks!

You can do quite a bit with that budget if it is limited to the daily fees and trophy fees. You might not get everything on the wish list but pretty close. If that budget as Slider asked needs to include airfare, tips, dip/pack, VAT etc. I think you may be out of luck. I sent you a PM with a couple of ideas.

Your best bet would be SA, Botswana and Namibia. Charl Van Rooyen seems a good guy to get in touch with in SA. Tholo Safaris in Botswana seem to produce the goods at very competitive prices. Jason Bridger is a super guy in Botswana I've personally hunted with him.

Thanks all! The $ figure does not include airfare or D&P. I have talked to Jason Bridger, and received PM's from Mr. Young, Van Roosen, and the boys at KMG. Hope all have a Happy, Safe, and Profitable New Year. Will be at SCI, and hope to get this wrapped up and these young people on their way this summer before SCI is finished.
