Couple of Warthog Shots
I had a bit of time on my hands and reviewed some of the pictures from this past Ethiopian sojourn. Here is an action shot of a big warthog on the move. Guess I led him too much!

Another bruiser. This one was on the Damaro Plain.

You need to post the IMG code directly into your post rather than the URL, unless you post the URL in the image window (which you get with the image button). If you post that way, use the one labeled "URL link" which brings up just the picture, rather than the URL to the whole page.

Nice pictures, by the way!

Nice hogs, are they in abundance there in that tusk size or were they exceptions ?

I always try to use enough gun but then sometimes a brainshot works just as good.

Gosh, those pig pics really get the blood going! I'll be hunting warthog in a week and a half.

At one time they were quite abundant. A few days will still produce a good trophy. I once shot a big bodied warthog for lion bait in the Belean Hot Springs area of the Danakil Desert. Turned out to be a 15 inch and I hadn't even seen the head.

Nice hogs Rich, thanks for posting. I think they would fall into the "saber hog' class Smiler LDK

"Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading" - Thomas Jefferson

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

"If you're being chased by a Lion, you don't have to be faster than the Lion, you just have to be faster than the person next to you."
