Chewore North for Leopard

Anyone have an opinion on Chewore North for leopard in early August? Would chances be much worse than say May / early June??

I reckon you should get hold of Andy Hunter, Ian Gibson or Peter Barnard regarding Chewore North. I don't have any of their email addresses in hand, but could get them for you. I see Andy Hunter's address was posted on the thread about him being mauled, but he may not be the best guy to talk to right now! I shall get Peter Barnard's contact details tomorrow and PM them to you.

Speaking from a Chewore South perspective, I would say there is very little difference between May/June and August. I don't think your chances would be less. However, I do advise you to get a second opinion.

Leopards gotta eat. Probaly no difference. Most sand rivers will be green, May or August.

When they open the season on wild dogs, let me know.

I would second the vote for Pete Barnard but I believe he is hunting in Tanzania with Jack Brittingham's outfit from July 1st through October... you could check with him anyway, you never know if he has a break or cancellation.

Mid August, 2005, Chewore North a few steps from the banks of the Zambezi the day the guys built the blind:

Yep, it's a good place to go. The river is right behind me, there was a slight concern that hungry crocs might want a piece so we hurried with the photos. This leopard is featured in Buzz Charlton's elephant video if you care to see how the hunt went.
