I just saw a full page add in the latest Safari mag, for the Blaser bolt rifle. Surprise! It seems the bolt rifle , like the double, must be re-cocked every time the bolt is worked to place the next cartridge in the chamber! Is that true?

Not how mine works...once cocked the rifle stays cocked unless you remove the trigger/magazine assembly or remove the bolt...each time the trigger is pulled and bolt is cycled it re-cocks itself. to un-cock the rifle you press slightly forward on button and let it slide back
IMO..it's much safer to carry around with a round in the chamber..no need to rely on a safety.
