Good Luck JudgeG
If I'm not mistaken, the Judge should be leaving tomorrow for a much anticipated Zimbabwe elephant safari. Here is wishing you the best of luck and success. Keep the wind in your face and may your aim be true!

Ole Miss GuyThere are those of us who must stay home and he is one of the better writers of his hunting trips. I am still a fan of his buff story with the lioness next to him during the stampede. I am sure he will have an exciting hunt and look to reading about it.
Good luck to him!

JudgeGTo our gracious host and my friend Saeed and to all the rest of you fine AR members:
I thank you for your good thoughts.
I'm all packed and loaded in the car for the short trip to the airport in an hour. Your good wishes really helps to chill some of the angst that always exists about being away from home, loved ones and business affairs. I really feel that I could call a bunch of you and get stuff taken care of in the U.S. if I needed to do so. Thanks!
I'll spend Thursday night at the Afton Guest House and on Friday go to the airport and meet Biebs (Jon) and we'll fly up to Bulawayo together with Lou and George Halamore picking us up at the airport, spend the night at the Bulawayo Club (drinks on the Bieb for anyone who cares to join us) and then to Chirisa.
I'm hoping to get another elephant on quota. Graham at HHK is checking on that. I have a buffalo available if I see a giant, this time, hopefully, sans a charge!
I'll try to keep a record of some of the lesser reported safari stuff that happens, this time. Those who haven't been would enjoy the same, I hope.
If I'm toe jam for an elephant by this time next week, I died smiling!

JudgeG ... just counting time 'til I am again finding balm in Gilead chilled out somewhere in the Selous.

JudgeGGreat news!
I just go an e-mail form Rosy and Alan Shearing. They are going to meet me and Jon for a toddy at the Bulawayo Club before they go out to dinner for their anniversary!
Life is good!

Rhyme of the Sheep Hunter
May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick.
And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too.
May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep.
May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip.
-Seth Peterson
Good luck Sir. Hope you have a great hunt.
