Best Valentines Day gift ever...
They were delivered this afternoon. It has driven her crazy all afternoon trying to figure out the significance of the number and the significance of the single white rose. Not only that, every woman in her office is there trying to figure it out as well. Imagine a room full of female lawyers completely fascinated and baffled at the same time.

I was kidding about the sex part. Trying to make you all laugh.

A wit once wrote that "Romantic love is the temporary delusion that the one particular person on whom it is focused is different than all others of the same sex."

That may not be correct in all cases, but this much is definitely true: All women like diamonds.

Not inexpensive - but a sure thing, if that's what you're looking for. thumb

Must quite some magic Larry, as I have never known a room full of female lawyers to be fascinated and baffled at all, let alone at the same time. And believe me, I have been in a room full of female lawyers many times. Big Grin Big Grin

my grandparents had it figured out and this works for any holiday. you buy her something you want and she buys you something she wants...and then trade! one christmas my grandmother bought grandad a string of pearls and he bought her a bumper jack. everybody was happy.

blaming guns for crime is like blaming silverware for rosie o'donnell being fat

Larry....you ARE a cruel man....but I'd give some serious $$ to see all those female lawyers in that room trying to sort it out!

They have tried about 10 times to get me to tell them. I'm keeping my mouth shut. It is very entertaining.

Like the typical guy, being unhappy with his womans mood swings, my friend bought his wife a mood ring the other day so he would be able to monitor her moods.

We've discovered that when she's in a good mood, it turns green. When she's in a bad mood, it leaves a big red mark on his forehead!

Maybe next time he'll buy her a diamond ... Big Grin

I don't know if this will work for you but two years ago I bought Karen a Ruger No. 1 in 7X57 and had it cut down to fit her 4'11" frame. She loves it, shoots it great and it's "cute". Other than that, I would vote for the jewelry or something warm and fuzzy. Hard to go wrong with warm and fuzzy.

I found that a Jaguar XK-8 convertible does the trick very nicely, and I even get to drive it every now and then.

Thanks for all of the suggestions. I ended up taking her to Boston for the weekend in a fancy hotel and dinners with our sons.

I did not, however, do this - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SecVCh9dg4I

Die,
I cannot believe a learned hunter such as yourself would ask that question! It has everything to do with African Hunting. If you do not take care of "business" at home, you won't be going to Africa.

PS- Mr. Moderator, I posted here because most of the other forums are populated by Walter Wannabees and I doubt I would get much help there.

Actually, I thought your not wanting to mingle with the riff-raff outside of the Africa forum summed it up best.

That is what I am doing. Going this July for 14 days. I also threw in a very nice Emerald ring to sweeten the pot. Big Grin

The average man's love of liberty is nine-tenths imaginary. It takes a special sort of man to understand and enjoy liberty; and he is usually an outlaw in democratic societies.

Dave,
You are correct, but I did not want to insult Die for not reading the original post.
