Wendell ReichDiscounted Plainsgame special at the Gras ranch
Hello guys, I got an e-mail from the good folks at the Gras Ranch looking to fill some cancelled spots for this year. It is about a 20% discount off the published rates (except for the Kudu).
Here is his e-mail to me.

Hi Wendell,
The late season special is as follow:
Gemsbok $400, Blesbok $260, 2 Springbok $224, Kudu $790 and daily rate of $1736 on a 7 day 1X1 basis. Total of $3410.
Gemsbok $400, Blesbok $260, 2 Springbok $224, Kudu $790 and daily rate of $1288 on a 7 day 2X1 basis. Total of $2962.
This is our normal price less 20% except for the Kudu which is the normal price. The Kudu we will be hunting in the mountains near Windhoek.

hikerbumGreat opportunity here. This is a great place and great trophies.
Wish I could go back to Gras but funds are short even at these great prices

BearhunterI must agree with hikerbum, this place is great and they go all out for their hunters. I'd jump on it, but have other commitments for this year. Gras has vast area's to hunt, great food, great accomodations and treated like part of the family. This is truly a place that you can comfortably take the family along.
I hope to return one day.

eyedocMy connections tell me that the rains in Namibia this year are nothing less than fantastic. That could mean some tough hunting for the taker of the first hunt but by the time the second hunt rolls around the grass should be dry and grazed so visibility should be good and most of the water should be gone from the seasonal pans.
The good rains should also mean a good year for kudu and warthogs. They are the ones that seem most hurt by prolonged drought.
I loved the time I spent at the Gras! Super people . . . great hunt . . . excellent food and accomodations . . . LOTS and LOTS of game on 92,000 acres - that's 143 square miles, sports fans!
My wife had to drag me to the plane to come home because I didn't want to leave!

GeorgeInNePaHaving hunted Gras in the past, if my old man sells his business and I get some time off, I'd be on a plane in a heart-beat!
