billrquimbyDeep snow may be rare but it is nothing new for that country and certainly not an indicator of global climate change.
I remember being in South Africa when a similar major snowstorm hit that region.
Roads were closed and a youth group was lost somewhere in the Drakensbergs. I had to return to the States and never learned if there were fatalities.
This was maybe 20 years ago.

Ann, please remember, it's no longer called global warming. the new liberal buzzword is "climate change". that way no matter what happens, your stupid ass is covered! and please ignore that climate change has been occurring for millions of years( unless you believe the last 3 ice ages didn't really happen).

SteveGlIf you want to impress people, say "global climate change" ... and there seems to be sufficient evidence to believe that it's happening. It may even be anthropogenic.
There seems to be some widespread disruption in earth systems, wind-patterns and ocean currents which is causing significant changes in weather patterns.
Personally, I'm looking forward to it. Maybe it will shake things up a bit.
