SaeedYes. We have everything on video.
And we had a trail camera at the bait.
Which actually captured a few seconds of our approach. But from far away!
This is the second lion charge we have experienced.
20 years ago we got charged by a lioness after we shot a lion.
She was a bit closer than this one.
A few years ago a lion attacked our blind.
Tearing holes in it while we were inside in total darkness
Part of hunting .

DLSSaeed, are those six Dugga Boys the Camp Buffalo?
When I was there a month ago, we had eight Dugga Boys hanging around camp regularly. Sometimes they were in the riverbed, right in front of our tents. Are these the same bulls?

SaeedThe six buffalo were a few kilometers from camp.
We are using the DJI MAVIC 3 PRO drone.
It has 1x,3x and 7x cameras.
Went to the lake trying to shoot a hippo as bait for a croc.
And despite walking long distances along the lake shores, we were not successful.
Shot a wildebeest on the way back.
Tony shot a buffalo.
Maktoum shot a reedbuck with his bow.

Michael RobinsonGreat photos of the big reedbucks you caught as they were just calmly standing there.
I also love the photo of the dagga boys all standing still and clocking the drone.
Talk about busted!
Yet they remained calm.
It seems like the hunting party have all dialed in on the wildebeest!
IMHO, the Nyasa subspecies is the only beautiful wildebeest. I love the blueish-gray and black brindling and that pure white chevron!
