ScriptusWhat the hell do they want to do with them, only God knows. The farms already purchased from whites and handed over during the last two decades, are all but recognisable. Roofing sheets are plundered, timber floors ripped up for firewood, irrigation pumps and piping sold for scrap and the farms themselves are rapidly reverting back to bush. SA has gone from a nett food exporter to a nett food importer. A piece of ground carrying five cows, twenty chickens, ten goats, a quarter hectare of unfertilised dryland maize, never fed a family let alone contributed to feeding a nation. A further joke is the number of white S A and Zimbabean farmers, welcomed to and succesfully farming elsewhere in Africa.

Austin HunterYep - the South Africans I do business with keep all their money off-shore. I would as well. They'd make a great addition to the US - they are hard working, honest people.

It's a damn shame but socialism and vote buying is something that is rampant now.

So do you suggest there hasn't been resistance here? Study the recent history of the Save, if you will.
I'd be interested to know what you mean by 'resistance' anyway...If you mean fighting fire with fire, you have 2 chances - nil and zero. Talk is cheap. There were some who thought they'd do just that here and they are no longer with us, their children fatherless.
You are right, SA is NOT Zimbabwe (thank God), in general Zimbabweans are much less violent. You guys have more farmers murdered in a month than we have had since the bush war, WITHOUT land invasions...
I hope for your sake and for South Africa in general it doesn't happen, because land invasions in SA will make the Zim situation look like a jolly tea party.

I could presume the anc will meet a stronger armed resistance in ZA.

David,
It is not what i meant...and i am not going to become one of the 'statistics' in this argument, but this is a fact - Each/mostly each white SA citizen that is over the age if 35 had formal army training, how many Zimbabweans? (this is what i meant). They are like a bunch off hyenas, you wound stand a change...especially when children are involved, but i am going to try my best standing my ground (as what the Zimbabweans did) to protect my assets...
Sorry ladies and Gents, my attention is not to cause any political statement.

brevexThis will most likely move quickly to a global economic battle with China pursuing the assets in the ground in Southern Africa. It won't be an underfunded majority trying to take, but a well funded effort, the defense against which will rely on western countries. US aid will not be forthcoming from an Obama administration.

I have seen the actual results in two separate locations in South Africa. I might just add that all of the game is poached out of the areas in a short period of time as well.

That's what happened in the Congo and it's not a bad idea but it won't solve anything because the well meaning do-gooding arseholes and politically correct western Governments will pour in foreign aid for decades to come (at least).
Just look at Zimbobwe. Despite all the shit that's gone on, they're still receiving foreign aid from the west.
Personally, I'd give 'em absolutely bugger all and let 'em stew in their own juices!

The problem is that sometimes it's not that easy for a variety of reasons.
Firstly, they simply may not want to leave and I can fully understand that. If I'd been born there and my ancestors had hacked a paradise out of a wilderness often at the cost of their health or indeed their lives, I'd be extremely reluctant to leave as well.
Secondly, many can't afford to leave and start again elsewhere. - Even when finances look good, you lose an immense amount when you bale out and that doesn't even begin to consider how the Govt are gonna screw you over. - We lost a considerable percentage of what we had due to the SA reserve bank etc screwing us over.
Thirdly, they may well not have anywhere to go because of immigration restrictions in other countries.
All this is made worse by the aforementioned do gooding arseholes and western Govts attitude of no matter what Africa does, no matter how badly you behave, we'll continue to give you money anyway.
FWIW, I know plenty of people who would like to get out but simply either can't afford it and/or there's no other country they can get into on a permanent basis.

Andrew McLarenVery well said Steve. You have very accurately described my own personal possition!
I for one, would dearly love to get the hell out of the once wonderfull country that is now totally raped, plundered and simply mismanaged by the bunch of corrupt terrorist idiots that call themselved the ANC!

shakariWhen you look at the social & economic history of countries such as Germany & Japan etc that were absolutely devestated 60 years ago and see how they've made such phenomenal advances from then till now and then look at every single African country and see how they've all declined in that same time period, it absolutely beggars belief that we should continue to give them foreign & NGO aid etc year after year after year and continually allow them to bite the hand that feeds them.

The economic rise from being beggars for "liberation army funds" biting the hand of the aid-givers to billionaires of the likes of most ANC top misleaders has simply been spectacular. It far outperforms the recovery from almost total destruction and devastation of post WW2 Japan and Germany through the good planning, hard work, high productivity, good craftsmanship and other national characteristics like discipline and orderliness that made the economic recovery possible.
Now South Africa is a real “Rainbow Nation”! The population comprise of many, a vast majority, hopelessly poor and poorly educated, unskilled and really and no-hope blacks, a good proportion of hard working whites that are still discriminated against for “Apartheid”, then the new “middle class” of lucky blacks who get jobs far above their competence – only to hone their stealing skills by mostly giving zero productivity in exchange for a good salary, but also some real ‘stealing of da money’, and a goodly number of top ranking terrorists that are destroying all hope of the country ever reaching a fraction of it’s true potential. It is of course the “ONE MAN ONE VOTE” of the vast majority of poor, uneducated and ill-informed, no-hope blacks that keeps on voting for the ANC, in return for promised land and nationalization of mines and banks, so keeping up and really speeding up the downward spiral!
Me? I want OUT! But the reality is that, largely thanks to the “End Apartheid” help given by so many western nations to the ANC terrorists, I’m stuck here! Intend to just keep on enjoying the good hunting still to be enjoyed. The bad news is that the Anti-Hunting organizations are powerful and clever! They are helping the ANC terrorists disarming South Africans, putting an ecosystem destroying stop to elephant culling in the Kruger National Park, and generally doing everything to ban hunting until that too is destroyed, just like Botswana is doing in that country.
Better stop now, before the moderators shift my posting to the political section!

Everything you say there is spot on the money and like you, I'm sure they won't change their ways.
RSA has had every opportunity to get black rule right and make a success out of their country but sadly haven't even made the slightest attempt to do that.
I'm waiting for some do gooder to rattle a tin in my face and ask if I'd like to donate to the poor people of Africa and when they do, I'm gonna shove their collection tin so far up their arse, they'll be able to clean it when they brush their teeth.
