Just FYI regarding Emirates via Dubai. KLM will start flying to Harare from the US on October 29th. I think they will be flying from New York, DC and Chicago. Not Houston, granted, but perhaps it will work out to a shorter flight. KLM is fairly decent in my opinion as long as the flight isn't operated by Delta.

+1 Mike that buff "is what dreams are made of". Glad you had another great hunt.

Bill CHey Mike, sorry about the lion but I'm sure it was not for a lack of trying. There is something to be said about hunting hard every day of a safari. And this aside, you got a great bag of animals.
The H&H and custom 404 are spectacular, you certainly do have good taste!
I look fwd to your full report!
HEY WILL, Buzz still has your winter coat! Somehow I think that the coat will have a longer lifespan than Buzz's two new friends.

JungleboyMike,
Beautiful trophies. I, like everyone else, am very envious of that buff!
You do have great taste in firearms, glad to see a vintage H&H getting
used properly.
Congrats, Jim

Michael RobinsonCongrats! Tough luck on the lion hunt. I am sorry to hear about that. But success rates on lion can't be more than 20-30% these days, no matter where you go. Small consolation, I know.
Thanks for posting the photos of your many excellent animals - except for that last photo, of course. Definite ground shrinkage there!

DK1Hi Mike,
Great photos and glad to hear you finished up with a good hunt, even if you missed out on your lion. Next time! That buff looks great.
Hilly and I made it back in one piece and can't wait to be back! Hope you enjoyed a few peaceful nights after we left and didn't get stuck on any left over booby traps across the road...
Cheers
Dan

MJinesHey Dan good to hear from you. We did not find any booby traps on the way out but we did find evidence of several landslides and a couple of fallen trees. Go figure.

Tell Hilly hello . . . be sure to add several "f-words" when you do. I keep waiting for that video to surface. I still laugh when I think about that.
Got to go work on my people skills . . .

Rigby350Hi Mike, nice to have met you in camp, apart from the shumba which you and Buzz worked very hard for, you certainly picked up some very nice trophies, well done.
Hope to met again in camp some day.
Cheers Harry
