RIPParlez vous Francais?
Of the 77 pages I could read 1/2 page of English "Abstract" which was the most interesting part for me.
Sorry I dropped out of French class after my first year in the 8th grade.
Darrel Waltrip's little brother Bobby Waltrip was in my French class.
I don't think he stuck with the French either, as he preferred NASCAR instead of CAR ...

Thanks for posting that.

WinkThe methodology is the same as that used in the Tanzania lion report, appropriately so that they can be comparable (and it was also led by Chardonnet). Basically the conclusion is that they estimate about 1,300 lions left in CAR. Recent years have averaged between 4 to 6 per season legally hunted, until 2008-2009 when 12 were legally hunted. There is good participation of the PH's working in CAR (you'll see the names of Alain Lefol, Marcel Tiran, etc as some of the sources by area) so most likely reliable sources. It also concludes that legal hunting probably has negligible impact on the the total lion population.
