BenKKClowns, eh.
I love the sound of "roaring" impala... My brother and I were walking along with Philip Dixie and Neville one evening at Blaauwkrantz, looking for kudu, when we heard a very loud noise over the hill, and instantly imagined all manner of big, hungry, ferocious cats. The locals ignored it, and when we asked, the answer was "Impala."

376 steyrIt seemed to me that when I was there everything was capable of an impressive grunt or roar not just the lions.

K EvansBen: Phillip was pulling your leg...it probably was a big hungry feline and he didn't want to frighten you. But on second thought, if Neville was still standing there it couldn't have been too dangerous.

BenKKHey, G'day Karl and Eardley!
It might've been one of those broad-daylight maneating caracals, ready to dine on hapless Aussies!

Cheers,
Ben

Pa.FrankDid any of you guys notice that they have the Impala listed as "Endangered"???
It seems I read somewhere that the Impala was the most plentiful antelope species in Africa, wits estimates of over 50 million animals!
What the hell is up with these people???

LR3It's amazing how uninformed NG can be like doing a show on water buffalo but in fact was about cape buffs.
