405wcfzebra rug?
How well does a zebra rug hold up if we actually walk on it?

MARK H. YOUNG405wcf,
I've had a zebra rug in my entryway that Jerry Huffaker did for me for almost 4 years now. 90% of the traffic in and out of my house goes over it. The hair does wear off but so what? It still looks like a zebra and I'm happy with it actually serving some useful purpose.

Tim HeraldI have one that Jerry did as well and it is the carpet that covers most of my twin 10 year olds' room. It gets a lot of traffic and is in good shape outside of the stitching on one ear has come loose a bit...they are pretty tough.

madabulaAs stated above they are tough and the hair will wear off in high traffic but typically slowly enough to appear natural and not unpleasant.
Good tanning and a good laminated backing helps support the fiber on carpet and absorbe hi-heal and other hard shoe shock on hardwood.
I have one that has 10 years in a primarily adult sitting room that is still very attractive and another in a much higher traffic family room/grandkids play area with more than 5 years showing some wear but should last another 5 without being tacky.
Very functional taxidermy - Use it and enjoy it
Best regards

Nothing says "Welcome" like a lion charging you. Nice!

RVL III+1 to the felt backing!
Friends look terrible after just a few years...no felt backing.
His latest has felt backing and is wearing much better.

SBTWe walk on ours frequently, but not everyday. After four years, I see no problems.
