Milestone reached (1000 posts)
Well guys , after hanging around here for nearly nine years I see that I am finally reaching a milestone of sorts .This is my post #1000 on AR.

I have learned a tremendous amount of Africana and hope that at some point I may have shared something of value with someone else.

My thanks to Saeed for providing us with this forum. Hope to be here many years down the road. Eyedoc

We seldom get to choose
But I've seen them go both ways
And I would rather go out in a blaze of glory
Than to slowly rot away!

Rhyme of the Sheep Hunter
May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick.
And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too.
May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep.
May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip.

I Still got some Cuban Cigars left from SA last month. Stop by the house and I'll treat you to one and some Amarula on the rocks.

Ain't it great? Hang around for nearly ten years and don't get banned from the site and people are willing to offer you drinks ,cakes and cigars to celebrate.

Makes me want to hang around for another 1000.

you've reached larger milestones than a thousand posts, like two nasty buffalos with your bow, a recent mountain lion with your bow,,,Elephants, hippoes, capes, leopards, etc with the old 375 or your bow,,,hopefully after August we will have over 10 aussie buffalo a piece on the ground. You dang near had to drag me to Africa the first time,, now I am hooked,, you introduced me to this website and the graciousness of Saeed. I think I will look forward to reading your next 1000 posts!

you can make more money, you can not make more time

Why does it mean anything? As long as you have something meaningful to add to anyone's point of view, or discussion; rather be humbled with the knowledge that you are contributing in your own little way to the betterment of your fellow member's experience.

Keep in mind that there are people here who have 20,000 posts and are complete dumb-asses.

Neil-PH is coming up on 100. I say we let him post one more, but then if we don't like him, we make him stop.

I like people who have something to add, not some Internet junky with no life who goes into attack-mode questioning the other person's opinion. No one's opinion is any more important than the next man's.

The classic confrontation on this forum is between hunters, and people selling services. Most of the time it's a good give and take. Sometimes it's a case of a hunter stating an opinion and the service provider seeing that comment impacting his ability to make a buck. That's when some try to beat you down. I usually just fire one under their nose and walk away.

What I want from this forum is knowledge. Right now I want to know everything I can learn about Alaskan moose hunting. In a few years it will be back to Africa. I'm not sure I give much of value here, but I do get value.
