I ski, sort of, having learnt the sport at 55.
I can get down any slope, my way.
Once I was taken on a double black slope. I took my skis off, held them on my lap, and skidded all the way down on my backside!
But, I am one of very few individuals who actually ran down a ski slope.
The kids were learning to snow boards, and I volunteered to accompany them to take video and photos of them.
While they were down at the bottom practicing, it was easy.
Then they decided to go to the top, and snow board down.
Now, you have to imagine a 63 year old man, clad in all black, with a camera around his neck, and a video camera in hand, running down the side of the slope.
The kids kept disappearing around bends - or down slopes, with me trying my best to avoid being run over by crazy kids going at break neck speed!

EsskayBrilliant pics Saeed. I once had a similar experience when I lived in the US. Slipped and slid down about 40 yds on my driveway from my garage door to the car parked at the foot of the hill. Lucky I did not break any bones
Happy New Year

prof242Reminds me of one hour west of where I live.
That cable thing at the beginning is actually a feeding device for the Yetis or Abominable Snowmen. That is why the seats are empty coming back.

impala#03Saeed,
I learned to ski at around 50 or so, but snow boarding is a whole different game. I haven't skied in a few years, just haven't taken the time. Last time I skied, I still did enjoy it a lot.

Into my heart on air that kills
From yon far country blows:
What are those blue remembered hills,
What spires, what farms are those?
That is the land of lost content,
I see it shining plain,
The happy highways where I went
And cannot come again.

Many of those would sell for big bucks as "art work".
You sure have a good eye for fine pictures I'll give you that much!
Never seen as many so fine as these together anywhere.
Glad you all had a great time.

No worry for me there.
I am bad enough on the slope, and never go off the beaten tracks!
But, I know what you mean.
Saw too many people taking silly chances.
