This is suposed to be all the species in the world. Our pork on the table is Sus scrofa (same as feral/euopean boar). The warthog is Phacochoerus aethiopicus.

Sus barbatus, commonly known as Bearded Pigs, are found in Malay Peninsula, Riau Archipelago, Sumatra, Bangka, Borneo and Karimata Island to the south, Sibutu and Tawitawi islands in the Sulu Archipelago, Balabac and Palawan and the Calamian islands in the western Philippines.

Sorry, D, but your info is dated. Within the last two years DNA analysis has established that they are two different species and are now so designated under SCI regulations.
I love piggies and have hunted the feral California version of Sus scrofa as well as both bushpig and warthog. I could happily spend the rest of my hunting career chasing, shooting, cooking and eating examples from the entire Family.

They might be in the same family, but they are different species. They are not the same pig.

juanpozziIlove hunting boars ,i guide knife hunting in argentina and i killed a lot of thenm every year but i admired hogs and peccaries ,they are brave ,they charge ,they can kill you or your dogs and usually they live in different and difficult terrains Ihunted them in south america and in usa next year ill hunt warthogs and bushpigs in SA and with dogs and ill try to hunt them all over the world .Thanks for this great post and photos.juan
