SA Grand Slams
I have read a bit about the monolithic bullets being made in SA and are also eing sold here in the states.
I know that Ray recommends them, any other reports? pics?
Thanks

Andrew McLarenI have used Frontier in 150 grains and 200 grains in .308 win and 300 Weath Mag with good accuracy, very good penetration - not a single bullet recovered from plains game yet, and good expansion [judged by exit wound] and, for me very important little fouling.
In good hunting.

375 fanaticI just Love my GSC bullets they out perform them selfs
I could not find much info on their hollow points for calibers from 270 up through 338.
Any experiance with these? accuracy and performance?
Thanks for any help, I do not really care what I have to spend on bullets for a hunt because I really think that they are the cheapest part of the equation yet the most important.
But I am kind of a freak for accuracy, moa considered the starting point into my gun rack big game, and .5 for varmints.
Do they have this kind of consistency?
Thanks so much.

GerardHi Bucko,
Some info for you. "Grand Slam" belongs to Speer. GS in our case refers to the original gunsmithing business, GS Custom Guns. Nowadays it has been shortened to GSC.
Performance reports by users of GSC can be found
here and
here. There are lots of medium calibers on these pages.

PalmerGerard,
Do you make a .411 dia. 400 grain FN for a 450/400 3"?

GerardPalmer,
We do a 380gr FN. A 400gr FN will be too long for a 1:15 twist. It is a similar situation to the 416 Rigby and 416 Rem Mag. The twist on a Rem Mag is tighter than that on a Rigby and where the Rem Mag will give decent terminal performance witha 400gr mono bullet, the Rigby often does not and gives its best with a 380gr mono. You will find them
here.
